AMD EPYC ‘Siena’ Specification Leak: Up to 64 Cores

Renowned hardware leaker @momomo_us has published what seems to be specifications of AMD's upcoming EPYC 8004-series 'Siena' processors. The new Zen 4-based CPUs are projected to hit the market later this year or early next year and address lower-power servers that may not need the highest performance, such as those used for edge and telecom applications.

Micron Preps 32Gb DDR5 Chips, Opens Door to 1TB Modules

AGESA 1.0.7.0 Fixes Temp Control Issues Causing Ryzen 7000 Burnouts

Igor's Lab reports that AMD's new Ryzen 7000 burnout firmware fix, AGESA ComboAM5 patch 1.0.7.0, addresses further bugs surrounding Ryzen 7000's temperature control system. The new combo patch now sets a forced SoC voltage limit of 1.3v and packs in new SMU bug fixes to ensure the processors do not go beyond their temperature specifications.

AMD Genoa-X 96-Core CPU With 1.1 GB of L3 Cache Listed For $1,300 on Grey Market

AMD's EPYC Genoa-X server processors with 3D V-Cache will arrive later this year. An alleged engineering sample (ES) of the EPYC 9684X has gone up on sale for $1,300 on a second-hand Chinese selling platform. The Goofish(opens in new tab) seller claims the processor wields 96 cores and 1,152MB of L3 cache.
