Leaked: Z490, B450, X399 Refresh, Eight-Core Coffee Lake CPUs

A metaphorical treasure trove of information just appeared on Bluechip’s (a German PC OEM) website. German speakers might get more out of the video presentation there, but a document shows us what we need to know. Pictured above are timelines for AMD’s and Intel’s 2018 product releases.

AMD Details Lower-Power Ryzen 2400GE, 2200GE

First leaked in the beginning of this year, the lower-power variants of AMD’s Ryzen APUs are now officially detailed on AMD’s website. The Ryzen 5 2400GE and Ryzen 3 2200GE are both 35W-TDP parts, a 30W drop from the regular 2400G’s and 2200G’s 65W TDP.

Apple Killing Intel on Macs? This Is Big

Apple is aiming to build its own processors for Mac computers, possibly as early as 2020, Bloomberg reports. That would shift the company away from Intel's CPUs and allow Apple to hold even tighter control of its ecosystem.
